A speaker is perhaps the most important part of any studio.
More important than a microphone or even a computer, the speaker is the thing to touch your mix before it’s flung out into the universe, and ideally hits your earballs unmolested. We speak briefly about the nature of how a speaker works in both the Workspace and Recording volumes of the Pro Member Education.
But Jacob O’Neal has done it again with his spectacular “Animagraphs” by explaining in the most simple ways the most complex aspects of how a speaker works. Folks, you gotta see this. I’m so impressed, and he so perfectly describes how a piece of copper, paper and a ring of aluminum can reproduce a full symphony orchestra.
